Truman Lake Fishing Report

Fishing Report 7-13-18

By Steve Blake

Current water level is 705.4 and water temperature at the dam is 87°.

Crappie are still good both on the brush piles and dipping trees. In the clear water near the dam the fish are down 10 to 15 ft while up the rivers fish are being caught 8 to 10 ft down in 10 to 15 feet of water. Take plenty of minnows because you will have to wait through a lot of small fish to get the keepers.

Bass fishing this week has slowed some what we're still seeing fish come from 8 to 15 feet of water on plastic 10 inch power worms in Plum Red Shad and blue fleck. There's also a little top water action early and late in the evening on spooks and pop-r. Catfish are still good on both rod and reel and trot-lines or jugs with cut shad or perch on the flats in 6 to 12 ft of water. White bass and hybrids have shown a little surface activity early and late in the day in the KK Island area.

That should do it for this week. Enjoy your weekend and see you at Sterett Creek!!
