Current water level is 710.71 and water surface temp at the dam is 62 degrees.
Lot's of fishing action going on this week. Crappie are in several stages of the spawn. Some still on the banks, some have already moved out to suspend over brush piles and in standing timber. Fished with my son yesterday, and we boated 30 nice crappie fishing char and white , and char and black SWARM JIGS on a pink Bob Bates 1/3 ounce jig head. We fished brush piles on flats in 10 to 15 feet of water 10 to 12 feet down. Took a mixture of dark males and spawned out females. Also dipping around standing timber again 10 to 15 feet of water 10 to 12 feet deep.
White bass and hybrids on the humps and current funnels on both spoons and sassy shads. Great numbers and lots of bites but you will wade thru a ton of small fish to get keepers. Fish are in 12 to 22 feet of water.
Large mouth are being taken on a variety of baits brush hogs, top-water, and spinner baits in 2 to 8 feet of water. Look for 45 degree angle chunk rock banks.
Lots of blue cats in the 3 to 6 pound size coming in on both rod and reel and jugs. As always cut shad and blue gill working best.
Sterett Creek Marina is social distancing and being vary safe. Come on down and get some sunshine and enjoy the fishing action!!!!!
